Well, what I want to know is who turns off the "comment" option?

I read these stories and have this urge to comment and somebody has turned off the comment option!

Oh well, what I had to say, which I can't remember now was really not very important, anyway. And now I'm commenting and I feel ok about that, so all is forgiven--your trip is so deja vu all over again for me--some day I'll tell you about our yellow school bus/motor home trip cross country from Portland to Main and points south (ending up West Virginia) with three little ones under the age of five.

But mainly what I have to say, other than I have enjoyed the stories, is that picture of Eureka is unbelievably beautiful!

Take care of yourselves and don't do anything I wouldn't do--which is not much, though you have no way of knowing that, I suppose.

Queen Accordiana?!!! I hope you took video.

I can't seem to open up the rest of this entry. Tried clicking on damn near everything on the page, to no avail.

Oh well, you'll have to tell me about her when you return.

Back to grouting. Not really, I'm at work, getting some much needed rest from the bathroom tile project. We really are getting too old for this crap.
Miss you like the dickens.
Sending love and hopes for more accordian moments,
Karen

I remember those old knickers. Zac used to let Daisy lick the popcorn crumbs off the crotch of those things!
And that music store in Tucson (The Chicago Music Store)? It's also my favorite place. There's an old guy who works there who always has little pink patches of dried Pepto-Bismol in the corners of his mouth.

Never been to Tucson or was it Tuscon--I think the first but I can't remember now and there's no red line--oh well.

Thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all and having borne witness to your act now I can place you square in the rich vaudeville tradition that mainly was wiped out by radio and buried then by TV. But there's a bit of hippie thrown in and yet, of course, though you steal liberally from all over, as all artist do, you are your wonderful unique selves, an act like I have never seen before--admitting, of course, that seeing such things has not been my passion--nevertheless, I know a good thing when I see it and I know what I like and I enjoyed the evening immensely. Thank you is in order.

Were a poem not weighing heavily on my heart, I would continue and would read more and respond to more and write Cheryl a note too--but sadly or happily when something needs out, it must out and I have a long narrative poem I've been working on for weeks and on the way to see you last night, as I was walking to BART I thought of how to clear a logjam that has been bugging me.

Your whole beautiful family is now a vivid part of my internal landscape forever.

All the best.

What a story! What writers you two are!! Maybe you should turn the piano shop into a writers studio and publish your memoirs. I'm still waiting for a rendition of Zachary's Thanksgiving in a green van in a mortuary!! Good thing he didn't make it to Seattle that time or you four might not be on the train right now!!!Lots of Love, Mother

Can't get much better than bread and butter in my book.

When you get to SF/Oakland, I will get to see what you look like. I went to high school with your Grandma, June, all those years ago--so long ago it's hard to remember.

Is the train fun at all?
